Introducing Cook
What he was doing before he was Sailor?
The Royal Navy had gave him two main purposes. Firstly, to observe the transit of Venus across the face of the sun. This was succesfuly accomplished on the 3rd, July 1769. His second task was to search for the believed Great Southern Contenent, before he had set sail to find the Contenent he had been offered captaincy of a ship named Endeavour.
How did Cook come to New Zealand?
Because he can show great considerable ability as a Navigator and a Sailor, he should be able to search well and find it. Finally he arrived ashore New Zealand and his Crew on his boat had soon started soundings. After a while, they had finally sunken then anchor and docked, Cook had walked upon shore on the sand on Gisborne, South Island. Hoping to trade, Cook was depressed and anger because the Maori didn’t understand what he wants, the Maori was also not that nice.

He came back and fourth frequently and went to different locations of New Zealand, Finally, after much voyaging he created a full, steady and amazing map of New Zealand.
What did Cook care about?
Cook did not care about the fame or money, but he cared about very much of the Native people were he had landed, he especially looks after his crew members too, if you were Cook, you probably wouldn’t want to be alone for such a long time.
What is his other things he done and helped with?
One of his other greatest achievements
was to chart the rocks and other danger spots in Saint Lorrens.
He also helped the british capture canada from the french.
